Alexandra Rowland

The artist is a Texas-based creative, who currently resides in Austin. Painting is a fairly new passion for Alex. It was in 2018 when she decided to materialize her ideas onto paper. Making art stemmed from some of the most restful days she spent while living in a very small town in West Texas. The quiet and the solitude was kind to her. It really freed her to explore an unfamiliar side of her creative desires. Her abstract work seeks to group colors, shapes, and symbols together, which brings a great amount of peace, catharsis, and focus in the process. The ultimate goal is to translate these works and more onto textiles, which is what she is studying now.
